Following on from Friday's post here are the contact sheets with my initial selections marked;
As previously mentioned these selections are the ones that I felt that were possible keepers, note that I said "possible", not all of them do actually end up as final selects.
From sheet one out of the nine initially marked only three made it into my final selection. The first and last ones on row two and the first one in row three.
The first one is a strong composition, the light is interesting and the color is good.
This one was a little bit of a sleeper, in that I when I first viewed this image I almost passed it over, however there is something about the smile on the lady's face on the right. The point here is that this, for me anyway, validates the "leave them alone for a couple of days and come back with a fresh eye" approach to editing. The movement on the left contains, or rather directs the viewer back into the main image.
Of the three frames I shot here I liked this one best.The focus is on the tip of the paintbrush and I like the strong look of the man on the left.
From sheet two this image is possibly my favorite from that entire shoot and I don't think needs any explanation :)
